The United Kingdom is ready to advance with utilizing the full worth of frozen Russian holdings to bolster the Ukrainian war effort, PM Sir Keir Starmer has announced.

In a collective announcement, the heads of state of the Britain, the French Republic, and the Federal Republic of Germany asserted that this coordinated action would increase strain on Russian President Vladimir Putin and compel Russia to participate in talks.

They clarified that the decision would be executed in close cooperation with the America.

United Kingdom restrictions have immobilized in excess of £25bn of Russia's funds since Moscow initiated its widespread offensive against Ukraine in 2022. However, up to this point, resources allocated to Ukraine using Russian holdings had exclusively been sourced from profits and interest earned on them.

Sir Keir assured President Volodymyr Zelensky that the United Kingdom, the French Republic, and Germany were in agreement in their aim to drive progress toward using the total worth of the seized Russian sovereign holdings to conclude the conflict.

He noted that further measures over the next period would apply more pressure on Russia.

This declaration follows European officials met in the Danish capital last week to consider employing immobilized Russian funds for a 140-billion-euro credit to Ukraine.

Last month, President Donald Trump urged international partners to take or utilize frozen Russia's funds, as reported by media sources.

The worth of seized Russia's assets in the EU is estimated to be almost €211bn.

Russia launched extensive aerial attacks throughout Ukraine on that day, causing electricity outages in significant regions of Kyiv, the city, and several other zones.
