The Streaming Giant Selects Ideal Actor for Bon Clay in One Piece Third Season

Baroque Works is geared up to play a huge role in Netflix’s upcoming season of One Piece, even if the major clash isn’t set to occur until the next season, and a beloved, audience-beloved member has recently been selected.

Netflix announced this week that the talented performer has joined the One Piece season 3 cast and will play Bentham. This character has the ability to change into an identical duplicate of any individual they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. The actor, who is gender non-conforming and prefers they/them pronouns, will play a version of that figure reimagined as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the live-action show, as in the source material and animated series.

The new cast member will work alongside a number of fresh additions set to bring Baroque Works to the screen, such as chief the main antagonist, portrayed by the well-known actor, Sophia Anne Caruso as Miss Goldenweek, and an accomplished actor, who also joins the cast as King Nefertari Cobra of Alabasta.

Even though Bon Clay is a major member of the organization, the individual won’t make their debut One Piece the upcoming installment. Given the next season expected to adapt the Little Garden storyline, this signals a notable change in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.

Their mix of sharp comedic timing and deep sensitivity makes them a ideal selection for the part. Besides their current animated role in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they earned widespread acclaim and numerous honors for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, emphasizing the range they’ll add to one of One Piece’s widely praised figures.

Netflix's live-action One Piece series is set to return for its next installment on the tenth of March, 2026.
