Renowned Actor Pat Finn, a versatile actor, Famed For Roles in Seinfeld and The Middle, Passes Away at the Age of Sixty.
Stateside entertainer Pat Finn, who was seen in popular TV shows including Friends, Seinfeld and The Middle, has passed away aged 60.
The comedy and improvisation performer passed away at his residence in LA recently having undergone treatment for cancer from 2022 onward, per news outlets.
"He considered no one a stranger - just potential friends he had yet to meet," his loved ones stated in a statement.
They continued that he had "experienced life to the fullest - with happiness and energy".
An Extensive Television Career
His debut TV appearance was in the George Wendt Show in the mid-90s, where he appeared as the titular character's brother.
He subsequently landed a recurring role on "Murphy Brown" in the latter half of the 1990s.
He starred as a party host named Joe Mayo in "Seinfeld" in 1998, playing a party host who would assign unpleasant chores to his guests.
Throughout the 90s and 2000s, he had guest spots on a variety of well-known programs, such as:
- King of Queens
- Friends
- That '70s Show
- House
He was most recognized for his portrayal of Bill Norwood in The Middle, featuring across eight seasons between 2011 and 2018.
His film credits are "It's Complicated" and "Santa Paws 2".
Beyond the Screen
Away from his television work, Finn was a skilled improviser and served as an educator at the University of Colorado, where he was an adjunct professor.
He was involved with a six-member improv team named "Beer Shark Mice".
"He taught, supported, and inspired countless students during his career and it would be difficult to find someone anyplace who has a bad thing to say about him," his family wrote.
In a tribute, fellow actor Richard Kind said there was "no kinder, gentler, funnier, grounded individual you could encounter".
"Always positive, making those around him better and funnier. A great dad, a great guy," he posted publicly.
Pat Finn is remembered by his spouse Donna, his three kids, and his family.
