Iranian Forces State Assault on US Base in Bahrain, During Regional Military Operations.
Iranian forces say they have struck a American military facility in Manama, as Iran launched strikes across the region in response for a "massive" and ongoing assault against it by the US and Israel.
Large columns of dark smoke were observed billowing from an area close to the main base of the US Navy's Fifth Fleet in Bahrain's capital, Manama. The scope of any damage is uncertain and the American officials has yet to issue a statement.
Missile Defenses Activated
Elsewhere across the region, the UAE, the State of Qatar and the State of Kuwait - all home to US military bases - reported they have engaged and destroyed incoming projectiles in their air space.
In Doha, Qatar's defence ministry announced it had successfully engaged several missiles seemingly aimed at the al-Udeid air base, the largest American base in the Middle East.
IRGC Statement
The Iranian Revolutionary Guard stated it was attacking US bases and assets as part of military campaign "Truthful Promise 4", in response for the attack on the Islamic Republic initiated by the US and Israel on Saturday.
That preceding assault - launched at around 06:15 GMT - has so far targeted areas associated with the the regime, with President Trump urging the people of Iran to rise up against the government.
Wider Impacts
In the State of Israel, sirens were heard nationwide after the Israel Defense Forces reported it had detected an incoming Iranian missile barrage.
The Ministry of Defence of the United Arab Emirates announced that the country has been targeted by a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".
"UAE air defence systems engaged the missiles with notable success and successfully intercepted a series of missiles," it added.
Officials reported missile fragments fell on a neighborhood in the capital, resulting in some material damage and fatalities.
The US Air Force operates from the Al Dhafra base, south of the Emirati capital, along with the Emirati Air Force.
