Football Analyst Sutton Battles Artist Olly Murs in Top Flight Forecasts

Arsenal's ten-match victorious run came to an end by Sunderland before the global hiatus, but can the Premier League leaders bounce back against north London rivals Tottenham this Sunday?

"{I believe like Arsenal are light years ahead of Tottenham currently but Spurs manager Thomas Frank will have a strategy for this match," stated soccer expert Chris Sutton.

"The Spurs manager will try to neutralize Arsenal, who have not always been at their scintillating best this season - but Mikel Arteta's side typically still find a way to win."

The analyst is forecasting results for all 380 Premier League fixtures this season, against AI, readers and a range of guests.

In the twelfth round, he faces performer Olly Murs, who is a Manchester United supporter.

Murs' new record, the new release, is out on the weekend.

Soccer and Family Experiences

Murs is a skilled soccer player as well as a successful singer and has been a star of multiple charity football matches over time - but he is not planning a serious return as a footballer.

"{I recently played in a benefit match the other evening for a mate of mine," he said. "My team was losing 3-1 when I came off in the second half, and they went on to win 4-3, so you can interpret that what you want!

"I still love football, but I hurt my knee a few years ago and it still isn't where I want it to be. I wish I could play more but the unpredictability of the game means it's too dangerous for me in my profession to do it properly again.

"Additionally I am 41 now, and we are not everyone is Cristiano Ronaldo, are we!? No, I am very happy not playing football and I am gearing up for the moment that my child or boy decides to play instead."

The singer and his wife Amelia Tank have a young family, Madison and Albert, and he is prepared to emulate his dad by taking on the role of their manager.

"I will not force football on our children but I've previously told Amelia that if they happen to get the passion for it then I will have to go and get my manager qualifications - and I will probably be managing their Saturday soccer side," he said.

"I observed my relatives play a lot, and I truly got into it, and I obviously was involved with a football club for a while too.

"My father did it with us when I was a child, which is probably where I inherited it. He managed our side for several seasons and had great fun with it. That might be the future for me as well, and I am excited to it!"

Top Division Forecasts

Weekend, 22 November

  • Turf Moor, 12:30 GMT

The Blues may have to wait a bit longer for their star's comeback from injury but their offense is now stronger with Joao Pedro and Liam Delap both back fit.

In my opinion this game will be fairly tight, though. Burnley are disciplined and their only home losses so far have been against the Reds and the Gunners.

This suggests a one-all draw to me, but I am actually going to go with Chelsea to edge it for what would be their third consecutive league win in a row.

Sutton's prediction: 1-2

Olly's prediction: The Blues will be superior. 1-3

Artificial intelligence's outlook: 0-2

  • Vitality Stadium, 15:00 GMT

The Cherries have been defeated in their previous couple matches - although both of them were away - but they got thoroughly beaten by Aston Villa last time out which surprised me.

On the other hand, West Ham won back-to-back victories before the international break and, although both of those games were at their stadium, they appear competitive again.

The Hammers' only on the road win this season came at Nottingham Forest in the summer, when their boss Nuno was still that team's manager.

Therefore, what on earth do I predict here - can West Ham extending their streak under their manager, or the home side bouncing back?

I am going to go with the Cherries, because I believe what happened against Villa was a anomaly.

Sutton's forecast: 2-0

Olly's prediction: The home team are performing strongly but the visitors have improved under Nuno. 2-2

AI's pick: 1-1

  • Amex Stadium, 15:00 GMT

Brentford were seen as one of the frontrunners for relegation before the campaign started, but they have surprised a several observers under their manager and are in fine fettle with three in their last four games.

A family member advised me to select Brentford forward Igor Thiago in my fantasy soccer team a few weeks back and, guess what, I ignored the advice.

The forward will probably find the net again on the weekend but I am nonetheless not going to select him or back the away side at Amex Stadium.

The Bees have not had much success on the travel this season, and the Seagulls are always strong at their stadium. The visitors will attempt to hit them on the counter-attack but I think Fabian Hurzeler's side carry much more of a threat.

The analyst's forecast: 2-1

The singer's prediction: It could be one of those games where you expect there is going to be a many scores but it in reality turns out to be rather close. 1-1

The computer's prediction: 2-1

  • Craven Cottage, 15:00 GMT

This is a huge fixture for the Cottagers, who have lost five of their last six games.

They have have plenty of talent in their team but it nonetheless feels like they could be dragged into a relegation battle.

As for the Black Cats, well they are the unexpected success of the Premier League campaign so far.

The away side's display in the two-all draw with Arsenal last time out was superb. We've not witnessed any other team rough up the North London side like that this season, and they were more than a match for them.

The sensible thing would be to support the visitors here, because they are obviously capable of disrupting Fulham up too and, the previous occasion they were in west London, they beat Chelsea at the close of October.

However I am not choose that. Rather, I truly need to carry on opposing the away team with my forecasts. I am taking a lot of credit for their good outcomes because they evidently enjoy to defy my predictions.

Considering Fulham's at Craven Cottage form, the sole team they have lost to is the league leaders. Marco Silva's team will be extremely desperate for a good outcome, so I am going to predict they will secure three much-needed points.

Sutton's prediction: 1-0

The guest's prediction: I'm aware the visitors are performing strongly and also that Fulham are on a bad streak... but Fulham have nonetheless been respectable at home this season. 2-0

The algorithm's outlook: 2-0

  • Anfield, 15:00 GMT

It is a tough one to predict. Liverpool have lost seven of their past 10 games in every tournament, but could they be among the sides who benefit from the {international break|
